When you are looking for a way to make money fast you must go where there are people so you have bigger customer base.  This only makes sense.  If you are sitting at home watching TV, not many people are going to give you money.  You have to get out where other people are so you have a chance of finding some way to trade their dollars for your skill or time.

In big cities with subways a time honored tradition of making money is to perform in the station or outside on the street in return for spare changed from people walking by.  Some people with a musical skill work this gig for years making a nice income.  To be successful you really do have be able to entertain people.  If you aren't a good singer, or can't play an instrument, or aren't a magician or comedian then you probably won't get much money fro people.  I have found that people are willing to help support others who are making a positive contribution to the surroundings with music or dance.

As in all businesses you have to give people what they want.  A song iwth a good beat and funny lyrics usually does well to draw a crowd.  A sad, mournful song usually tend to make people feel bad and although some people who like misery may enjoy this type of music the majority of the public will not.  Try to play music that gives people a smile and you will do better.
